TGIF, it’s Fire Code Friday! NFPA 80 (4.2) requires all listed items to bear a label. Labels must be applied in locations that are readily visible after installation, like the left photo. Can you read – or even see – the label in the right photo? This does not meet code because the AHJ cannot read the label. Do NOT paint over the labels on your doors!
