FedLock in Action: Rekeying

by Stacey Simmons

A frequent request we receive is to “change the locks” but often, the hardware can still be used and only needs to be rekeyed. “Rekeying” is rearranging the pins inside the lock so that old keys will no longer work. This is a great option if keys have been lost, personnel left without returning their keys, or new tenants are moving into a space.

A simple rekey of existing hardware can save you money, rather than replacing the entire piece of hardware. FedLock can rekey a single cylinder or every cylinder in the entire building. We can give locks individual keys or set them to work with building and suite masters. Our techs can complete rekeys at your building or at our shop, then stop by for quick installation. It’s truly a flexible solution for your lock needs!
