Fire Code Friday: Locks and Latches

TGIFire Code Friday! Let’s review some lock and latch code (NFPA 80 6.4.4):
*Locks with interconnected deadbolts which are retracted when the latch bolt is retracted are permitted.
*Automatic devices are permitted but must be activated by the fire protection system and become unlatched upon activation.
*The latch throw minimum must be shown on the label and specified in the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
