Tech Talk: Aric

Who better to ask about locks than the knowledgeable technicians who work on them every day? This month, we’re featuring Aric. He has 5 years of experience and is factory certified to work on numerous products, including ADA operators, Doorking Systems, and Alibi cameras. If FedLock has worked with your access control or electronics, you’ve likely met Aric.

Q: What is your favorite type of lock to repair/replace? Why?
A: My favorite lock to repair or replace is a deadbolt. They are simple and serve their purpose well.

Q: What advice would you give about home locks and why?
A: Keep a spare key in a combination lockbox outside. Make sure you include keys for two different locks. This is really helpful in case you lose your usual key, lock yourself out, or one of the locks fail.

Q: What is the most memorable job you’ve completed? 
A: My most memorable job was my very first job out in the field. I replaced a door release button with timer.
